Dynasty Rookie Sleeper Candidates 2023 - NFL Draft 2023 (2023)

We all love rookies and getting drafted rookies when it comes to fantastic football teams from our dynasty. This is a big part of the fun of Dynasty Leagues. HeFreshman class of 2023he is excited, like all classes for a long time, and he should live up to the hype. Here are some sleepers to keep an eye on as the 2023 NFL Draft slowly approaches.

Michael Penix Jr. of Washington

Michael Penix Jr. is having a great season. Washington Junior passed for 4,354 yards, 29 touchdowns, and seven interceptions that year. He also completed 66% of his passes. This year he played some big games with top talent. Penix threw for 408 in a win over Oregon, 397 in a game against Michigan State and his season-high was 485 yards against Washington State. At 6'3 and 214 pounds, he's a good height for an NFL quarterback. Penix may not be called up for later rounds, but he has shown that the ceiling is worth it for a late midfielder in Dynasty's rookie drafts.

Jayden Daniels, LSU

Coming out of LSU, Daniels is a 6'3, 200-pound quarterback. He made 69% of his passes that year and passed for 2,566 yards. In all, he scored 15 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Additionally, he rushed for 822 yards and 11 touchdowns. His biggest win that year came against Alabama, which he rushed for just 182 yards, but he also rushed 18 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. He's a junior, but if he makes the NFL Draft, he could be a successful NFL quarterback, especially with his running skills.

Bo Nix, Oregon

Bo Nix injured his ankle and basically lost his job at Auburn. Fast forward to him in Oregon where he had a breakout 2022 season. He had 3,389 passing yards with 27 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He also completed 71.7% of his passes. Nix isn't a highly-skilled ringer, but the ceiling on him is there. He selects as a late pick in the NFL Draft and has the raw talent to eventually work his way up to a starting job in the NFL.

Zach Charbonnet of UCLA

Zach Charbonnethe now runs UCLA. That year he rushed for 1,359 yards and 14 touchdowns and had 37 receptions for 321 passing yards. Against Stanford, he rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns, catching five passes for 61 yards. He stands at 6'1 and 220 pounds and shapes up as a strong defender, with speed in his game as well. While he may not be a sleepyhead, he will drop in the rookie rankings due to how deep and talented this class is.

Charbonnet returned to UCLA for his senior year and is now managing the second round of rookie mock drafts. Of course, the landing spot is crucial, but after the first round it's an absolute hit. Hopefully, the quarterbacks pick up their act and sneak past Charbonnet so you can catch him in the second round. He gets as many second-round rookie picks as he can because the real value is there. Right now, he's likely going to be a late or early Day 3 in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Deuce Vaughn, Stan Kansas

Deuce Vaughn is a running back with the ability to hit a home run for Kansas State. He has shown that he can not only score rushing yards, but also play a role in his passing game. In 2022, he rushed for 1,295 yards and seven touchdowns. He also hauled in 40 receptions for 348 yards. Vaughn attends the Power Five conference, so he watches the competition and gets the best numbers.

His speed is maximum and he shapes up as a pass receiver on the third hole. Think of a role in the style of Nyheim Hines. Against Oklahoma State that year, Vaughn rushed for 158 yards for 62 touchdown yards. Right now, he projects from Day 2 to Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft. You can probably take him in the third round of all your Dynasty starts.

Sean Tucker, Syrakuzy

Sean Tucker is playing very well this season. After the 2021 season in which he rushed for 1,496 yards, Tucker rushed for 1,060 yards on 40 fewer attempts than the previous season. He had 11 rushing touchdowns and 36 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns. As far as his passing game, he's improving his ability to catch from behind. Last season he caught 20 passes and in 2022 he had nearly doubled that number. Tucker is 5'10 and 210 pounds, but he's very fast. Depending on where he landed, he could have landed in the starting role of a first-day running back in the NFL.

Jase McClellan not Alabama

Jase McClellan is a name to watch in this rookie class in 2023. While all the attention in Alabama is on Jahmyr Doubbs, McClellan could sleep well somewhere in the NFL. He was a former four-star recruit in 2020. The 5-foot-11, 212-pound running back broke out against Ole Miss with a 19-for-84-yard lead. Although it wasn't a 100-yard game, he showed his ability to carry the ball. At the end of the day, he had 613 rushing yards, six touchdowns and 13 receptions for 164 yards and three touchdowns last year.

With Doubbs backstage, McClellan will be in the shadows. Think of a Javonte Williams/Michael Carter scenario. Both defenders are great, but all we heard was that Williams was the guy you wanted. Ultimately, McClellan will be a good late pick and has a stellar prospect.

wide receivers

Josh Downs, North Carolina

Josh Downs will be a very good NFL wide receiver. His last two seasons at UNC have been great. In 2021, he had 101 receptions for 1,335 yards and eight touchdowns. That year he had 83 receptions for 929 yards and 11 touchdowns. At 5'10 and 175 pounds, Downs is a fast receiver and should work the 4.3 range at the 2023 NFL Combine. Given that, he might as well sneak into the first round of the NFL Draft or at least be a pick of the day. two. Downs is a catcher, I think I'll have some bets on dynasty leagues.

Parker Washington, Penn State

Parker Washington finished the 2022 season with 46 receptions for 611 yards and two touchdowns. He enjoyed a big game against Ohio State, catching 11 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown. Washington is designed as the slot receiver in the NFL at 5'10 and 215 lbs. He has good hands and can definitely catch anything in his direction.

Plus, his ability to open up will make him a sleeper in the NFL and someone worth targeting in the later rounds of Rookie Dynasty. I would expect Washington to be a Day 2 or early Day 3 pick.

Cedric Tillman (Tennessee)

Cedric Tillman was a household name this summer following his breakthrough in the 2021 season. The 6'3 receiver this season has struggled with injuries this season, but he showed what he's capable of last season. He finished the season with 37 receptions for 417 yards and three touchdowns. Last season he had 64 receptions for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. Tillman is a target in the red zone thanks to his size and physique. September, 10th^czat Pittsburgh, Tillman caught nine passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. If he stays healthy, Tillman will be a good wide receiver in the NFL.

Arroz Rashee, SMU

Senior Rashee Rice had a great season this year. He had 96 receptions for 1,355 yards and 10 touchdowns. The rice deserved different types.prizes and awardsas a senior when he led the team in yards and touchdowns. At 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds, he's got a physical game going for him and could be a Day 2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Michaela Mayera, Notre Dame

Miguel Mayerahe's no sleeper when it comes to NFL draft stock, as he's the best tight end in the class. Where you might get sleepy is fantasy football and ultimately your dynasty teams. Depending on where he lands, Mayer could be the first pick in the rookie dynasty draft. Where it lands, there will be value. Mayer is 6'4 and weighs 265 pounds. He finished the 2022 season with 67 receptions for 809 yards and nine touchdowns. If he needs a tight end position, Mayer is someone who can make an immediate impact from day one.

Darnell Washington, Georgia

Darnell Washington is well known for his blocking skills, but in 2022 he has 25 receptions for 403 yards and a touchdown. He more than doubled his receiving totals in 2021 for yards and receptions. At 6'7 and 270 pounds, he's a great size for a narrow end.

While the numbers they're putting up don't appear like fantastic top-tier value, Washington will often find itself in the NFL field due to its blocking ability. Finally, if the receiving yards improve, he'll be a very good fantasy football player.

Dalton Kincaid, Utah

Dalton Kincaid is 6'4 and weighs 242 pounds. He currently has 66 receptions for 850 yards and eight touchdowns. Kincaid is probably a late pick in the rookie draft right now, but he packs a punch and impact on day one depending on where he lands. , Kincaid drafts as a possible Day 2 or early Day 3 pick. In the tight premium leagues, Kincaid may have some value, but he also has blocking value, as he's rated as a good blocker in the NFL.
