Dynasty Caches (2023 Update) (2023)

Hefantastic footballthe schedule is still on, so what are the dynasty moves you can make right now to set your team up for even greater success in 2023?

What is a dynasty stash?

Due to the large size of the lists inDynasty Fantasy Football- with some leagues offering up to 30 roster slots - the need for player circulation at the bottom of the bench is critical.

Understanding who to pick from the waiver wires in your league before they run away is one of the biggest advantages, and can help you decide whether your squad will be a basement resident or compete for championships year after year.

These players may never become anything more than bench stoppers, but there is a path for them to get into the starting lane lineup. If you're holding on to a few veterans who seem to be on their way out of the league, cutting them down to pick one (or more) of the options below to see if they make it is a solid strategy.

The best players to hide in the dynasty league.

Mack Hollins, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Mack Hollins was a role player during the early years of his NFL career, but he had a small breakthrough with the Los Vegas Raiders in 2022. In 17 games, Hollins commanded 94 goals that he converted on 57 receptions for 690 yards and four touchdowns.

While these numbers certainly won't encourage Hollins to be called an All-Pro, they were enough to show that he could play a bigger role once his number was called. Hollins joined Atlanta in the offseason on a one-year deal and has a chance to return to the fantastic starting lineups later in the season.

FURTHER:Fantasy Football NFP Trade Analyzer

The Falcons won't throw the ball around enough for Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson, Cordarrelle Patterson and Hollins to have fantasy relevance every week. However, if one of these players gets injured, suddenly there is an opportunity to increase Hollins' target participation.

The veteran WR won't appear in every Dynasty drop lane, but he should be viewed as a solid reserve bench who could become more as the season progresses and the inevitable injuries begin to crop up.

Ty Montgomery, RB, New England Patriots

In 2015, Ty Montgomery entered the NFL as a wide receiver and had a very interesting career path during this period. He is now listed as a member of the New England Patriots on their RB depth chart.

As a proven and reliable pass-catching option, Montgomery will see a significant workload this season.

Rhamondre Stevenson was fantastic last season for fantasy purposes, but he was never meant to play that role. Damien Harris, James White and Montgomery all battled injuries in 2022, paving the way for Stevenson to become the third-ranked running back in the entire league.

FURTHER:Dynasty Leagues vs Defenders

Bill Belichick has repeatedly shown fantasy managers that he prefers to use multiple players in a RB rotation, meaning Montgomery could easily break through to halve Stevenson's 2023 totals target.

Mac Jones has shown that he will use the call option if there is one, which could make Montgomery a safe and solid all-round PPR option this season. If Montgomery is up there on his waiver line, he's worth taking, even if he's 30 now.

Elegido Anderson, WR, Miami Dolphins

Robbie Anderson, now known as Chosen Anderson, has been on and off the fantasy manager lists so many times in recent years that finding him on the list has been a pain.

Just three years ago, Anderson had 136 goals, 95 receptions, 1,096 yards and three touchdowns for the Carolinas. However, things have gone downhill since then, as he now finds himself on his third team in just nine months.

However, there is a great scoring opportunity in this Miami Dolphins passing attack. Cedrick Wilson Jr. was signed to a substantial contract in the 2022 offseason to become a WR3 for Miami, but has yet to make a big impact in the role. Anderson is starting to build buzz at minicamp in Miami and could be in line to steal the role.

With Mike Gesicki leaving Miami for New England in the off-season, there isn't much of a scoring threat in this offense right now, which could lead Mike McDaniel to field 11 more staffs, which means three wide receivers on the field.

Anderson will clearly be third in the target stock pecking order behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but that may still be enough to get him into the weekly Flex talk.

Dynasty's managers are fed up with Anderson and he may currently be available on a waiver wire. It's worth checking to see if he's there and monitoring reports from training camp to see if Anderson is in line for that WR3 role for the Dolphins.

Márquez Callaway, WR, Denver Broncos

Márquez Callaway was a hot name in the 2021 Fantasy Cycle due to his preseason performances, but he never really broke out in the way managers expected. Now Callaway becomes a member of the Denver Broncos and he has his work cut out for him to climb to the top of the depth chart.

However, it is important to read some tea leaves of this situation and connect the dots. Sean Payton is now the boss of the Mile High City, he brought Callaway with him from New Orleans. Also, there was a lot of smoke surrounding the future of Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy in the Broncos organization.

There's a real chance none of these wide receivers will make this list until the season begins with the reported amount sold, which would leave the receiving corps wide open for Callaway to move up.

Your knowledge of the scheme that Payton implements can be a great advantage in this competition. Russell Wilson has shown a penchant for releasing it deep down the field, which is where Callaway excels.

A lot has to happen for it to be worth it, but winning Dynasty League is about risking players that no one else in your league is thinking about. Callaway is worth hiding in the back of the bench from him in a deeper league while the Denver situation sorts itself out.

Malik Davis, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Malik Davis is a former Florida rookie who moved up to the 53-man roster after impressing in training camp last season in Dallas. While Davis only saw a total of 38 carries in 2022, there's a chance he could be Tony Pollard's right-hand man this season for the Cowboys.

Ezekiel Elliott is out (although there is a possibility of a reunion), and Davis' only real competition for the role of RB2 at the moment is Ronald Jones. Due to his knowledge of the scheme, Davis currently has an advantage in this contest.

We don't have enough of Davis' NFL sample size to portray him as a weekly starter for fantasy purposes, but it's worth keeping an eye on the potential hype surrounding precamp and picking him up before the rest of your league enters precamp. advertisement.

Dynasty Caches (2023 Update) (1)

Richie James, WR, Jefes de Kansas City

Richie James had his fantastic moments last season catching passes from Daniel Jones in New York. After playing in San Francisco for the previous three seasons, James rose to the top of the depth chart and became a constant threat to the Giants.

He has now moved from the NFC to the AFC and will do whatever he can in training camp to take on a starting role with the Kansas City Chiefs.

FURTHER:Ranking Dynastii 2023

For now, this WR depth chart is wide open. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore are James' biggest obstacles to catching passes from Patrick Mahomes each week. While these three players are anticipated to have a leg up in the competition, there's no guarantee they'll be the starting trio until the end of the 2023 season.

If Toney gets hurt again, James could easily be in the WR Fantasy top 40 in his absence. It's not something you'll often find in resignations from your dynasty league, which means James has to be a priority target.

Jerome Ford, RB, Cleveland Browns

Jerome Ford was one of the most electrifying RB prospects to emerge in the 2022 NFL Draft. Ford's speed on the home run made him incredibly fun to watch on tape, and he displayed solid enough receiving ability to prove that he can be a weapon in the passing game sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, Ford found himself in a situation in the NFL Draft that prevented him from making an impact in Year 1. Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb did the vast majority of the work for the Browns in 2022. However, Hunt is no longer a member. of the team, qualifying the Ford as RB2 Cleveland on the current depth chart.

Ford is still available in basically every dynasty league. Kevin Stefanski has shown a penchant for exploiting multiple runners, which means Ford could see a lot more work than many analysts anticipate.

In formats, 1QB is currently the main focus for me on the waiver wire.

Mike White, quarterback, Miami Dolphins

The 2022 Fantasy Football season held some surprises for fantasy coaches. One was the emergence of Mike White as a solid QB streamer for fantasy football on points.

Zach Wilson's struggles led to White having opportunities to throw to some very talented wide receivers, leading to some decent performances in some fantastic football in 2022. White is no longer a member of the New York Jets, but he has the potential to return. to the starting lineups in 2023.

Tua Tagovailoa has made great strides in his development with Mike McDaniel and has proven to be one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL ... when healthy.

Unfortunately, we all know about Tua's bout with the concussion in 2022 and there's no guarantee he'll make it past 17 games next season. White's place as a backup quarterback in this lineup makes him an extremely valuable target in Superflex leagues, but also someone worth picking up and tucking in if he has room in 1-QB formats.

The prospect of having a quarterback who can throw to Hill and Waddle, and maybe Anderson as well, in McDaniel's plan is incredibly attractive, and Dynasty managers always have to think two or three steps ahead.
